battery charging & draining problems?
For starters I have a '90 Bronco II 2.9L
The problem began with the battery draining overnight or while I was at work, so for the last couple of days I would disconnect the battery when parked for over an hour. I was planning on checking the circuits with a test lamp when time allowed.
Then yesterday the battery meter started reading really high while driving.
And now the battery will not charge at all.
I assume the problem has something to do with my alternator?
Could the alternator have been draining the battery?
and I am wondering if the problem now could have somehow fried my battery?

Yes, that is a possibility.

If you think your battery has a problem now, I would bet it would be from repetitive draining. If it was cold when it went dead, it could have froze.
