If I don’t want the thump I just turn it down. I’ve never tried that though. As for the "Ambiance" feture. I think I agree. I didn’t notice enough difference to get me to move my arm to the panel to turn it on.
At the risk of incurring the wrath of true audiophiles....would my system still function okay (6-dsc Audiophile) if I removed the subwoofer for storage space under the seat? I know I'll lose lots of bass, but won't the other mid range speakers supply enough bass (for an old guy)?
Ok do I have the audiophile or not. I have the 6 cd changer, 6 speakers that I can see and hear. I do not see anything under the driver side rear seat. I was playing around the ford site and when you check the 6 cd changer it automatically gives you the audiophile after warning you of the price. So what do I have guys and gals.
I just have the premium sound system and I have to say it is one of the best sounding factory systems I have ever heard, but I plan to gut it all out and install my Alpine system out of my old Mustang. A pair of 10" subs getting 600W each should quiet that rattle I hear from the back window LOL!
You have the 6-CD changer option w/o Audiophile. If you had the audiophile (subwoofer) you would know that you had it. You could see the subwoofer, here it, and feel it.
My audiophile is the nicest system I've ever owned in a vehicle. I love it!! I'm 42 and I "bump" that system whenever I can!! The kids in the hood are jealous...hehehe.
