A couple questions for the populace at large- does anyone know where or how I could lay hands on a center console for an 85 Bronco. Also looking for a rag top and neoprene seat covers for the same. Any info will be appreciated.
LRB Where abouts in Colorado? There are some good places to check that I have seen with consoles. Also, You just missed one about 4 days ago on EBay that went for $62....thats why I skipped it...but it was in perfect condition.
I couldn't stand my original console in my '87 with its worthless cupholders and such, so I made my own and covered it with carpet matching my interior. In the base I made an amplifier rack with a cooling fan. above that, is a storage compartment that is the perfect size for about 40 cd's, and the other side has a compartment for misc junk. I then added a cupholder that can actually hold a super big gulp, and then 1 a standard size. It took alot of work but I love it. I'll try and post pics if anyone is interested.

Should you decide to come up north, there is a place up here called Western Recycling at I-76 and Federal that changes out their vehicles about twice a week. I was there last week looking for dome lights and went through about 8 F-150s and broncos. But i got there in the late afternoon. Have to get there in the morning to beat the locals. They go through there alot to get stuff for the flea market.
Should meet up sometime with some of the other local bronco owners for some wheeling. Lots of places to go in this state!
Here is the one I made. underneith where you see the cd's is the amp compartment. As I said, I really enjoy being able to have useable cup holders! The console is pretty high. Its actally the exact height of the armrests when they are down so I took them off and use the console as an armrest. If the picture doesn't turn out just look in my gallery. I also have a picture in there of some speaker enclosures i made that take the place of the map holders.
