I've just had my brakes done. i still have a problem. At about 3 mph and below even sometimes at a complete stop, I notice what sounds like a noise not to mention some type of presure back from the brake pedal. Its kind of weird the pedal does drop a little and feels more like i'm trying to push down on a ball filled with air than a brake pedal. like i stated before this happens at extremely slow speed as i'm coming to a stop. not when i'm applying the brakes at high speed. I had the machanics try to bleed the brake system thinking there was some air in the lines but that didn't seem to correct the problem. I have a 1996 explorer ltd. any answers to my problem would be greatly appreciated.
yours isn't as wierd as mine.
Mine sometime sound like they are metal on metal, but there is like 1/4 inch of pad left.
and sometimes they lock up!
there is nothing wrong with the rotors or the pads. =\
gonna just blow the 350 and get new brakes when i rebuild engine.
I got a 90 Bronco II with a vacuume leak that I cannot find.
So this morning I took off the big hose from the throttle body and
stuck my hand in front trying to starve the engine of air looking a
leak. The engine kept running even though my hand is completely
covering the trottle body. In the mean time I am spraying carb
cleaner around the intake. So now I jump in the Bronco to move it
and my brakes don't work? I changed the brake booster thinking
I screwed it up, but my brakes still don't work??? What did I do wrong?

sounds like the abs my ranger does the same thing. try pulling the rotors off and the lil gear behind the rotor is bent if it is try and bend it back. if not go get new rotors.
