changing headlight filaments?

changing headlight filaments?
hey yall, my headlight went out tonight. i bought a filament. how do i change it out? i've never done one and mama is fixing to leave and needs it done.???JW

Open the hood. Look for 2 black pieces of metal sticking up just behind the headlight.
Pull up on these pieces until they stop. The headlight assembly should now come out the front. Remove the wiring harness and the bulb retaining ring. Replace the bulb and reverse the process to re-install.
10 minute fix.

thanks dakota! i pulled up the 2 tabs and nada! no zip--nothing!!
i also removed a coupla screws and still nada! i can see it but i don't know how to get to it!----arrgh! I GOT THE PART.jw

Keep playing with those black tabs. They will release the light. You may have to pull them to the front of the truck while pulling up on them but only slightly forward do not bend them.
