Now don't get me wrong, guys, but I was aware that my truck was NOT going to get 18-20 MPG. But with 1700+ miles on it, I'm still getting 9.XX+ MPG! I rarely get up to highway speeds so most driving is around town - stop and go. I guess I shouldn't complain(?)!
Is there a chip that would improve it or not? Let me know what other things I could possibly do to improve it. I've installed a K & N filter but haven't noticed any improvement. :-X23 BTW, I'm not looking to spend big dollars to try and get 1 or 2 MPG's! Know what I mean?

Dale,
You'll probably pick up some mpg after the motor breaks in. I picked up 1 mpg after 2500 miles. Avg 11-11.5 in town now. Also, as the outside temperatures warm up, the mileage goes up. We also have OXY gas which goes away after March 1st. I ALWAYS pick up 1-1 1/2 mpg after that crap is done with for the winter
Hi all! Feel your pain Dale, I have the same truck you do with 8xxx miles and I only get 10-10 1/2 mpg. But it is a hell of a work truck and I would'nt trade it for anything else. Period.
