My understanding is that if you have a business license you can qualify but it's a rebate to compensate you for additional equipment you buy for your new truck (from any source), not just cash you get when you take delivery. Is that right Jeff?
Commercial Connection is: a flat $300 rebate for owning your own business, OR up to $1,000 to re-imburse you for equipment you need (like a snowplow). The only equipment that doesn't qualify are bedliners, electronic equipment (remote start, cell phones), or an option you could have ordered from Ford (A/C on an XL, for example). You need to prove you own your own business- DBA, tax ID number, previous year's tax returns, etc...and you need to spend at least $1200 in upgrades, either from the dealer or any vendor that will provide you with an invoice for the work.
What's this about? I already bought my truck, so is this something I can still get? If so, how? My salesguy knew I was buying it for my business & never said anything about this. (Why should I be surprised?)

The program is good till July 31st. Just produce invoices that show you've spent at least $1200 for upgrades and give copies to your dealer. You'll also need to provide proof you own your own business (DBA, Federal tax ID, etc...) He can still apply for the rebate, then Ford will mail you a check, should take about 2-3 weeks. I'm assuming you bought recently- this wouldn't apply to a truck you bought 2 years ago.
And you don't even have to share that grand with me.........
Would a tool box qualify for the rebate? I've never heard of this. Is it a rebate program that is offered all year. I'm not buying until 2005s are out.
Edit just noticed in the previous post that it expires on July 31st.
Ford has had this program for several years, so there's a good chance you'll see it for 2005. They can change it any time they want, but they've allowed almost anything to be called "equipment upgrades." A tool box is OK. The only things that they've NEVER re-imbursed for are items you could have ordered from the factory (A/C on an XL, for example), and electronic devices (cel phones, remote starters, etc...). Remember: you have to own your own business to get this rebate.
Cool, Thanks for the heads up. I own my own business so I am printing this thread for future reference. Hopefully it will still be available with the 2005s.
Kinda like monster garage. Freeeeebie, Ziiiiippppp, Nadddddaaaaa
Does anyone (Jeff... ) know if this is valid with A/X/D/Z offers? I will be a A/Z plan buyer and the dealer said that the Commercial Connection rebate is not valid. He said he even went online (Vincent???) to check for all available rebates in ZIP 55906 for F150 SCREW 4x4 Lariat and the only rebate was the dealer/customer cash $500 rebate for plan buyers.
Your dealer's not doing his SmartVINCENT software correctly. I just ran one of my SuperCrews through, using your ZIP code, as an A/Z-plan purchase. It clearly shows that A-Plan and Commercial Connection are compatible. You get the low finance rate through FMCC, PLUS $500 A-Plan, PLUS $300-500 Commercial money. You must take delivery by March 31st to get all that.
