390 swap
Will a 390 out of a 68 Fairlane 500 fit into my 73 F-100 390 with no problems? My truck has the C-6 tranny..........will I need to change anything or should it drop right in and bolt up? I don't know what type of tranny the fairlane had in it. Please help. Thanks!!

A 390, is a 390, is a 390... they all bolt up the same. The only exception being a 390GT, because they have different exhaust bolt patterns. So check that the exhaust manifolds bolt to the head the same way and all should be good.
