You won't find a new one. Be careful as 4x4 radiator support is alot different from 2x4 support. You can use 73-79 core support with some minor modification I believe.

Prbably the best you can do is have the salvage yard do a search for one on the internet. They can locate parts nationwide.

I wonder why the 4x4 won't fit a 4x2?

The radiator has extensions holding it away from the support on 4x4. 2x4 doesn't.

AverageF250,

Well not exactly.

The support you mention with the extra bracket mount for the radiator was used as an option that was called "Super-cool". I believe it was for the 4 core radiator. This is what is on my F250 4x4.

I was involved in a wreck a few years ago and needed to replace this support. I searched most all of the wrecking yards before I finally found one. It was on 1969 F350 2x4 tow truck. There was also another one at this same yard on a F250 4x2 but was rusted out.

Take care,

I actually own several 67-72 4x4's and have owned a half dozen 4x2's. All the 4x4's have the extra brackets on the support and the 4x2's don't. My 75 super camper special supercab 4x2 had the desert cooler radiator in it and did not have the extra brackets on the support. I could be wrong here, but I've never seen the extra brackets on a 4x2. or vice versa.
