Enough Power is a subjective discussion. Yes, the 360 is a reliable tough to kill engine, that will get you to where you are going. I personally would not call a 360 powerful. That would be a stretch.
For a FE truck engine, a 428 or 445 is hard to beat.
Many people say the Cummins diesel is the best truck engine. I personally think the Ford 6.7 Diesel is hard to beat. We have great power, 400hp 800 torque and average 22 to 26 mpg empty, depending on how fast we are going.
You said that the 360 was a decent truck engine, and that is true.
But there are many other FE combinations that make for a better truck engine, I am sure you would agree.
