I was wondering if anyone has put this tire on their SD. It is an agressive tire, but is also E-load range rated! I was excited about that. When I put new tires on my truck, I WANT E-load range rated tires. I was wondering how well they did in rain and snow. Does anyone have any experience with this tire? Any imput would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
NoMO I believe has a set on his rig and I am sure he will give a report. I too like the fact that they come in a load range E. As far as I can tell the TrXus is the only one to come in a 285 in a 10 ply, which I would like to go to next. I have Cooper 255's on now and they are pretty weak in the snow.I have only heard a few reports and so far so good on noise and tire life. The prices I have seen so far aren't bad either. I hope some good reports come out! JPS
What's the single wheel load rating in pounds with the E rating and 285 size? My LTX's have an E rating and 265 size and the single tire load is 3415 pounds. I wouldn't mind a 285 with the same or higher capacity.

The Interco site rates the 285's at 3745lbs single load, which is pretty stout. JPS
IF Interco doesn't replace the one that blew-out on me Christams Eve (yes, I'm STILL waiting to hear from them) then I will have to purchase a SIXTH (6th) one for my truck with only 4 wheels. I've had to replace one already because the sidewall tore (not cut) when I backed over a piece of concrete. Never in my life have I had so many tire problems as with these TrXus. According to the tire dealer, no one else is having any problems. Right now, the three "good" ones & the one with torn sidewall are all sitting in my garage. I may give them 1 more chance.
Now, the good stuff about them:
The 285s do fit on the factory rims and they "look" good IMO. Even though the sidewall tore on that one, it's still holding air. In fact, I had to tow my 5th-wheel back from Arkansas using that tire. They are relatively quiet considering the aggressive tread pattern, but they get louder as they get older. Wet traction is terrific for a mud tire and dry traction is better than the OEM offerings.
