Intersting belt troubles

Hi ya'all. I have a '93 explorer 4.0 with 217,000 miles. Recently, the idle pulley seized and ripped out of the mount and got flung into the radiator taking it out. I removed the radiator and the alt. with its mounting bracket to repair mounting hole and reinstalled. Now the original serpinteen belt will not go back on, seems like its a couple of inches to short. Removed everything and checked put it back together and still the same thing nothing else seems to have changed. I'm am baffled...any help would be great!!!

Check the way the belt is run make shore it's right. Check the tensioner if you don't pull it up, you wont get the belt on. Need a 1/2 Ratchet to pull the tensioner up and the belt should pop on.
