Mexican soccer match
Anyone catch the news report on the Mexican soccer match between the U.S. and Mexico?It seems our team was booed when the national anthem was played,shouts of were Usama were yelled,and ballons filled with urine were thrown at our players.Whats their problem?

I didn't see the story but I think America's global popularity is at an all time low right now. On the flip side, our deficit is at an all time high. I would have thought we'd be more popular south of the border with this administration wanting to hand out free citizenship. Oh well, go figure.

I saw it on Fox late last night.I wasn't aware of any problems with Mexico.It just seems they may not be as friendly a neighbor as we are led to believe.It even mentioned something about people were encouraged to migrate to the U.S. by goverment officials.I know they do very little to stop the flood of people coming over here.I'm going to check it out more today.I thought maybe someone had more info on it.

What makes you think they arent a freindly neighbor? I live here in south central Texas, and I can say with certainty that they appreciate us.
If you are to cross into mexico, and you leave the main strip, you are likely to be mugged, and women are likely to be raped, of not kidnapped too. They appreiate us, they appreciate us as targets.
I had 'mexican' freinds, they wouldnt let me go to mexico without taking one or two of them with me. With that in mind, I have never crossed. I just send a shopping list with other people when they go.
As I've said before we can fix the border problen here, and in Isreal in one move.......................
Take a 10 mile wide stretch of land and from Brownsville, Texas extending to San Diego, California and give it to Isreal as the new home land. Those people can hold a border.

So Bob, other than more than less in agreement, how do we go about fixing the problem. Certainly the unconcious american consumer isnt going to boycott WallyWorld, the big supporter of our freinds to the south.
I dont see our beneficial neighbors being a product of the left wing liberals. I see it as a group political effort to stuff some pockets within our honest and true government leadership.
Furthermore, its not just old Wally's cartel or the gov't. Its business in general thats heading south. Its up to the working man and the consumer to stop driving our employers to find cheap labor. Its everyones fault, therfore everyones responsbility to fix it. America has climbed into the hand basket, how do you suggest we in effect turn around the hand basket before we reach our destination? Its all going south if ya know what I mean. Where do we start?

Annex
One interesting solution I heard, was to annex Mexico, and make it part of the US. Then they wouldn't have to sneak in, they'd already be here. Their factories would be required to pay minimum wage, the kids would have to go to school, utilities would have to meet minimum standards, etc., etc. and they would have to pay income taxes and social security. Surely a win-win solution.

For one thing we need to stop voting for politicians that want to make it easier for illegal aliens to get into and stay in our country. Most recently our governor (Illinois) has proposed that we issue driver's licenses to illegals - supposedly, to help keep the streets safe (by requiring that they pass a driver's test) and to more easily identify them. I say, "If they are here illegally don't reward them - send them back!"
