lift questions

I don't think you will be able to run either without a ittle more lift.

I have a 5 1/2" fabtech lift on my excursion and run 35/12.50/16 Super Swamper SSR's. I am thinking about going a little bigger with 36/14.50/16 Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips........ But, I'm pretty sure I'm going to at least shim out the front bumper a little to squeeze them on! I hope it works out!

I am ordering the Donahoe 4.5 inch kit.It has front spring brackets and rear shackles (front end only)It also comes with pitman arm and front panhard bracket. You can order front springs and Bilstien shocks to go with it.Rear lift is by 2 inch blocks or you can order new springs. The ride it pretty impressive. The cost for the whole nine yards I believe is $1275,Ask for Kreg,714-632-3033.Tell him the poolman recommened you.thanks, poolman

lift questions

i don't think you will be able to run those wide tires under a 4" lift.... 35's or 36's.

as mrrottndog has pointed out.... his 5.5" lift is close with his 35" tires that are considerably narrower.

i think you'd probably be able to fit those tires under the 5.5" kit, but that front bumper will have to be shimmed as mrrottndog is eluding to.... and then i would bet you'll see some rubbing at full lock.

as for those edge products from donehoe.... take them with a grain of salt. i have heard VERY good things from some ppl that have bought his products as for quality, etc.... BUT, i would cross check any advice he or his company gives out regarding lifts, clearance, etc.

he was trying to push to me and many others that you could go behond 8" of lift (all the way to 10.5") without the need for crossover steering. while this is possible to do, it is VERY VERY VERY dangerous! and the advice was terrible for a shop owner to be making. i am very glad (and lucky) that others chimed in to talk me out of going that route as i was so happy to hear that i could do it.... if i had, i'd be dead or hurt soon after with a wrecked truck!
