Need Some Help Please
hey everyone, i am 15 and i just got my permit and my dad was teaching me how to drive standard in his 1990 bronco 2. We just did a tranny swap from a 1988 bronco 2 transmission and i was in 3rd gear and i was about to downshift when the transmission wouldnt shift into any gears. it is STUCK in 3rd and there is a burning clutch smell. any help as to what the problem is? thanks a ton if you can help.

did you install a new clutch, throwout & input bearings sounds like the friction disk is stuck on the input shaft if you didn't put grease on the input splines and slide the friction disk back and forth a few times it might sticking. is the clutch properly bled? if the pressure plate isn't completely disengaged it can do the same thing. if you give me some more info hopefully i can point you in the right dirrection.
