Question Door Agar Chime?

On our 98 Mountaineer, as we go over Some Bumps, such as RR Tracks the door ajar chime sounds. Any thoughts? Also, The rear hatch only locks with the key. My thought is there related, but I don't want to tear into the rear hatch without some ideas.

Thanks, Scott

Just a thought, but when it's sitting still, can you shake any of the doors / hatches with your hands. See if any of them is loose. Also, check the button switches in your doors to see if the switch is simply loose. Some doors can become loose by wear on the plastic sleeve on the Nader bolt (big round thing that holds the door latched). These sleeves can be bought for a couple of bucks in the Help parts of most parts stores.

No. I have not. I really think it has something to do with the rear hatch. And, since it won't lock without the key. If you leave it unlocked the lights stay on..for a period of time. And you can't set the alarm until you of course lock the rear hatch. I'm just not sure where to start.
