I think wiring will be your main concern. Do you have an electronic tranny?

a c-6 is not electronic. You should be able to do this pretty easy then. Basicly rip out the efi junk, and throw that carb on top, and set the shift cable, and you will be good to go. It might have an electric pump in the line, just take that out, and make the line run just like a regular carbed engine.

the 460 and the 351W have different trans housings though. about the easiest wiring would be to get a mid to late 70's distributor and brain box. Then all you would have to do is hook up a run and a start wire to the brain. Another option is an aftermarket HEI GM style distributor.

when you change from an efi to a carb, couldn't you keep the fuel pumps and just put in a fuel pressure regulator for the carb?

probably won't work, the efi fuel pump is controlled by the computer. you could always just run a run(switched 12v) wire to the fuel pump relay, but that might just be an extra hassle to worry about. probaby be best just to have a carbureted electric or mechanical fuel pump.

I think that the 351 efi should have about 30-45psi, as far as the carb don' t know, it looks as if their psi is about 6-8. if planning on running a 500hp 460, would a person need extra pressure and more flow?

AHH, YES. Welcome to the dark side, brother. I'm doing the same swap now on a 94 F-150 stepside. I just bought a new C6 and a crate 460. The odds and ends are where the real expense comes in. Especially when running a tunnel ram and two 600cfm holleys. Good luck, and have fun!

how much modification did you have to do to the frame for the 460? wouldn't twist up a f-150? what adjustments would you have to make to stuff a 460 in from a 302? Thanks if you have any info.

Different tranny, should get a 9 inch rear, different motor mounts, probably some better front springs to keep you alinment right.
