Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been checking in on this and the FE engine site for about a year now to learn about the FE and 61-66 trucks. I hoped to get a truck to match my 67 FE engine. I got the truck today. It's a 2wd 66 F250 Camper Special with a "390" (I'll measure the stroke this weekend to verify that. My hunch is it's one of those 352s that "grew" to 390 at sale time.)
It has the four speed tranny and a big honkin' diff, probably a Dana 60.
I drove it home and it needs some work (lotsa leaks, right side smokes, no working gauges, rough interior, etc) but man, what a truck.
I'll post pictures next week.

look forward to seeing those pics
I do plan to do most of the work myself. I don't enjoy paint or body work, so I'll get that done. Without a shop, it's tough to enjoy the crawling in the snow to work on the truck. But I sure like drivin' em!!
All the best with your project.

Working on these trucks is fun, easy stuff. I've worked on a lot of different vehicles and these trucks are about the most fun, because they are simple.
I'm with you on the body repairs...I hate body work. Unfortunately, it's probably the most expensive part of doing any vehicle over.
We're here to help with any project you may have.
