need help
Im lookin for a replacement muffler for my 89 ranger. Called up my local ford dealer and they dont have ne. They discontued(sp) them in 97. Are glass packs quite on a 4 cyl? I want somethin quite.

If you want it to stay quiet and get good flow look at Gibson. They are more than glass packs, but I don't think glass packs are known for being quet, plus the Fiberglass packing in them doesn't last all that long.

Glass packs will make a 4banger sound like a ticked off bumble bee on crack. Trust me I had one on a 92 Mazda B2600i. However, after I had already installed the glass pack and hated it I got one of those $20 turbo mufflers from autozone and it didn't sound too bad. It was just a little louder than stock but didn't sound like RICE or a broken muffler
