Does anyone know what a 300 inline 6 sounds like with a gutted cat and a flowmaster 40 series is it loud , does it sound good, any gains or losses. id like to know before i do this and then have to replace a cat if it does sound bad or way 2 loud or lose any power or torque thanks.

you dont say what year your truck is , so ill take a stab at it , if your o2 sensor is in front of the cat , and you dont go to large on the pipe size , it may work pretty good and sound good. if your o2 sensor is behind the cat , it wont work right no matter what you do ,bob
