Tach. Wireing Diagram?
I have installed an aftermarket Tach and I find that it registers the RPM double of what it really is. Has anyone out there got a diagram or instructions as to how I can connect the Tach and have it respond with the correct Engine RPM???The unit is a Summit Tachometer!!!!1985 2.8 Bronco II 4x4 Eddie Bauer Edition

The green lead from the tach should be connected to the negative side of the coil, and the tach needs to be set on 6 cylinder. How is it currently wired?
The Tach is set for Six Cylinders, I have not been able to Identify the positive and negitive sides of the coil. The Coil is totally different from all of the coils that I am familiar with. Thank You for your Help
I shall have to double check which wires I have going to where I wired them to. Thanks Again.
