Ken I am all ears.
Buying a car is a horrible experience for me. I feel like I am getting ripped. How do I Know or find out that I am getting the best possible deal?
Hello Adventure. I currently have an '02 15 pass 5.4l v-8 which has been great. Gets around 13.5 mpg mixed driving. I am buying a 32 ft. travel trailer wt., when fully loaded will be around 9,000 lbs. I plan on trading in the v-8 for a 15 pass. v-10 and am not sure if I should go with a rear axle 3.73 or a 4.10. You seem to believe the 3.73 is better. Any reasons or insight you have would be most helpful. Thanks.

Hey-hey, Lawnguyland, my company's base is there, haven't been out to visit yet but plan to sometime next year.
So, it takes me a while to write and compose the whole thing, but I will and send it over to you via PM. It basically keeps you out of the lions den, and on at least marginally equal footing with the dealers. Once you enter their realm, you're at a huge advantage. I will send it to you ASAP, Ken

Go with the 4.10's, I have the V10 with 3.73's. Although I tow less than 5% of my miles, I'd still opt for the 4.10's. You will only gain power and ease of towing, there will be no loss in mpg.
I agree with ken04. I have a 2002 extended V10 and tow a 9100 pound trailer. I wish I had the 4.10 instead of the 3.73. I may swap the axle to the 4.10 one day.
