Question Question on order process/status

I've been following how often VOPC updates and it seems like it's always a few days been for some reason. For example, if I check this morning, it says the status is "as of Feb 11", which was Wed. So that brings me to my next thought...someone on this thread >> http://66.179.14.118/forums/showthre...hreadid=127481 posted very detailed info on how the order process happens. Assuming that's correct and allocation always happens on Wednesdays, I'm hoping I didn't get passed over on this go round. Scheduling supposedly happens on Thursdays. I suppose there's still a chance that the info still is not completely updated and I may yet here it tell me that my order has been serialized (VIN assigned) and has a segment date.

Has anyone else checked their order status on a Friday and it's telling you the status is up to date as of the Wed before that Friday and it was telling you it was NOT serialized (VIN assigned), only to find out a few days later that it really DID get serialized and you didn't get the real update until sometime on the weekend because the system isn't updated frequently? In a way, I wish I didn't know how the order flows through the system because this is going to drive me nuts! I specifically asked my dealer about his allocation and if there would be any delays if they had allocation problems, and they assured me that they have all the allocation they need. Guess I'll know for sure by next Friday. If the allocation sweep goes by again and my dealer/my order is passed over (assuming I haven't been serialized this week), I guess I'll know they were feeding me a line. The way I figure it, if a dealer has good allocation, there's no reason why their order shouldn't be picked up and serialized the first week it has a chance to go through the allocation process...unless of course there are commodities issues which isn't their fault. I've seen several other people's orders get serialized the same week they ordered...which is how it should be if your dealer has the allocation for more trucks. So anyway... Has anyone else checked their order status on a Friday where it's telling you the status is up to date as of the Wed before that Friday and it was telling you it was NOT serialized (VIN assigned), only to find out a few days later that it really DID get serialized and you didn't get the real update until sometime on the weekend because the system isn't updated frequently?

Follow-up - Here's an example of a real order that was processed quickly. I see no reason why most orders wouldn't go through this quickly if the dealer's allocation and Ford's commodities allowed:

> Receipt Date: 1/5/2004
> Serialize Date: 1/8/2004
> Segment Date: 1/8/2004
> Sequence Date: 1/14/2004
> Blend Date: 1/15/2004
> Produced Date: 1/26/2004
> Gate Release Date: 1/26/2004
> Ship Date: 1/27/2004
> Arrival Date: 2/9/2004
> Sold Date:
