[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Mar-02 AT 02:12 PM (EST)]Well my dad and I are done waiting for the Superduty to arrive at the dealer. The salesman called at noon and told us that it was just unloaded off the truck! it only took 36 days, which is pretty impressive!
YEAH!
Can't wait to go pick it up, (maybe Friday). My dad has to bust his butt to get the down payment ready! I won't let the excitement overwhelm me, I am using the inspection list at ford-diesel.com and making sure that everything is perfect!
I am psyched!

Your lucky Longhunter, my dad and I can't pick ours up til the 22nd because we are waitng on fender flares to be painted and of course some down payment money to come in!
How am I supposed to work knowing the truck is sitting there all alone?
>>Did you guys have to put $$$$ down just to order the truck?
>$500
I have a problem with that. I realize you can apply it to your down payment, but I think it's rediculous.
When I ordered mine, I told them to forget about a deposit.
Unless you order something completely off the wall, and spec'ed in a way that nobody would ever want it,(incase you back out of the deal when the truck arrives) I don't see why they do this.
I guess it's like earnest money, so they know you are serious, but to me it's insulting.
Just my opinion on that matter
Congratulations weldman, you have just purchased the finest Heavy Duty pickup that money can buy!
My deposit was $500 canadian by the way, but I imagine that in the US it would also be $500.
I didn't have a problem with it because I had never dealt with the dealer before, and wanted to make things go as smoothly as possible.
If I buy there again, there will be no deposit given. I expoect more as a return customer.
