tranny options
was curios about if the newer model five speed trannys will bolt up to an fe bellhousing if so what trucks are they available in?
or has anyone baught a gearvendors underdrive on a np435?

The newer trannies will not fit an FE.
I know there are some adapters to make it fit though. I know some people have done it on this site. Might want to go to the Transmission section and talk to the guys down there. Might get more information.
It might be a bit cheaper than a Gearvendor.

i might have got lucky today
a guy in my unit (army guy) is getting ready to pcs. he has a 78 f100 with a 4" lift a nice set of custon wheels and the two best parts about it are the two speed transfer behind a np435 trans and it has front discs (talk about killing two birds with one stone how bout gettin four in one shot) he said hell want about 1500 think it will be worth it?? possibility of reselling it after done robbing it or just take it home for pops only down side is no fe under its hood 351m so no engine goodies.
