This afternoon my truck would not start. Glow plugs work, have fuel from the mechanical pump. No fuel pressure at the injector. only a drip. Is this a sign of a bad injector pump?
I would like an opinion before I spend money for another one.
Thanks, Ricky
check your oil and make sure you dont have a crank case full of fuel, then check your fuel filter for water ,i would replace it if it does . there is two ways to do the next step . 1.loosen the injector lines and bleed the air out while cranking the engine , or 2, with a can of wd40 'not ether',crank your engine and use the wd to keep it running until the air blows thru. whats the outside temp where you are ? if your engine oil is thick from cold the fuel will be also and will need to be heated up, if you have never replaced the injector pump , it might not be a bad idea to start thinking that way. good luck, bob
