E40D Shift kit

The auto in my 93 shifts good 1-2 but 2-3 is too soft. Is there a way electronically to change the firmness of the shifts without pulling the pan? If not, how about a cheap-free way to do it with pulling the pan? On my old chevelle all the shift kit did was tell you where to drill out the holes bigger and remove a few ball bearings.

Try Banks Transcommand. I don't have one, but it's supossed to do what you're wanting. Let me know if it works.

You can get a programmer to up the line pressure.I did both to my E4OD in my 98.I put a Transgo shift kit in it and I increased the line pressure with a Superchip's programmer.

Thumbs up Banks Transcomander

I put a Banks Transcomander in last summer. Really does make a positive improvment! I think I got it from AJUSA at a better price than Banks but later heard that Banks will match discount prices from their dealers. Laid on my back to install it in the driveway. Done in about an hour if you take it slow like I did.
