Popping the question...

Some of you may have read my post before about proposing to my girlfriend. Well, I have decided to do it. I bought an engagement ring last week. I didn't want to do it on Valentine's day, but I think I will afterall. I plan on taking her to a nice restaurant and having a bottle of whine (I actually meant wine... no pun intended). When we order desert, I will have the kitchen write "Will you marry me?" around the rim of the desert plate with chocolate syrup. When she reads the plate, I will move from the booth and get on one knee with the ring in hand and wait for her answer. What do you think?

Sure, if you want to be romantic and want her to say yes, that way will work.

Heck, I don't even know you...but if you did that for me, I'd marry ya!!!!! Take if from a woman..that's a really nice approach..and if you've treated her well during the courtship, I think she will say yes. Congratulations.

Providing she is at the same place in the relationship you are at, she will LOVE that approach.. However, she may blush proffusely..

Don't be surprised if she does'nt answear right away (she might be in shock kinda like a deer in the headlights). It happened to me.See if you can also set up a camera with one of the waiters as soon as you ask her. I did and I'll tell ya it's one of her favorite pics. She has it on her vanity. The look on her face is priceless.
Good Luck

Every watch "That 70's Show"? That oughta teach ya.

Its the second biggest decision you may ever make. The biggest might be if you decide to leave later.

Congradulations!! Its the best thing I ever ever did.

Soon, you'll be able to join the conversation with all the old gray haired drunk guys at the bar. Dont worry, you'll fit in sooner or later.

On a personal note, if her response is 'yea, whatever' Might think of running.

Sounds like you put some thought into this. You might think about two bottles of wine though. Go for it!

Heck, I don't even know you...but if you did that for ME, I'd marry ya, and I'm a GUY!!! Oh, wait- that's illegal in 38 states, isn't it? But if we moved to Massachusetts, then maybe.....

Seriously, it sounds like a GREAT plan to me. All of our FTE fingers are crossed, hoping for the answer you're so romantically seeking. Good luck, and let us know the answer! I CAN'T WAIT!! Hey, do you think you could take the laptop with you, so as soon as she says "yes" you can log on and tell us the answer?
