[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Mar-02 AT 03:01 AM (EST)]Well, I finally got my Banks Stinger and TransCommand installed yesterday. What a difference! Not only does it sounds great, the full throttle accelerations are amazing- it seems to climb through the RPMs faster and when it shifts, it shifts NOW!:-staun I thought I was going to look in the rear view mirror and see the old 4R100 lying on the blacktop. I didn't realize just how soft the shifts were before.

I'll have a chance to tow the trailer at the end of this month. It will be interesting to see how the changes affect the towing. We're heading down to Carmel, so I chose a route down highway 5 and over the coastal range so I'll get a chance to feel it out under some various conditions. I also got the tranny temp gauge installed last weekend, so I'll be able to monitor temps too.

NoMO- have you had a chance to tow your 5'ver with the Powerpack installed yet??

Cool!

It's amazing how much restriction there is in the factory muffler. And, in all honesty, I think the Stinger "sounds" better than the full Powerpack. But the extra power from the headers is nice.

I haven't towed the trailer because the weather hasn't cooperated at all. I did take a road trip though. Driving up hills into a head-wind, the truck would down-shift before the exhaust mods. Now it cruises up them effortlessly.

NoMO,

where do you think the most power came from. The muffler, Y-pipe or Headers? If you installed each seperate of each other, which would unleash the most hidden HP & TRQ?

Yup, those PSDs are trailer pullin' SOBs. We have a one ton dually PSD here at work- its a monster! Since my trailer is only ~5500 pounds and I only tow about 600-700 miles per year, I decided to stay with the V-10. It sure is alot more fun to drive unloaded than a stinky PSD
