There are bunches of parts you can buy for it. There are multiple manufacturers of chips such as Jet Chips. Gibson, Dynomax, Magnaflow, and Flowmaster all make exhaust for it, or you could just buy a muffler from them and make your own exhaust or have a muffler shop do it for you. You can get a cold air from, Kurts Kustom Motorsports, MAC, K&N or again you could just buy a K&N filter and make your own intake. I'm not sure about hedders however if you do a search on google you'll find tons of stuff.

Congrats on your purcase, but i too know the pain of a slow 3.0. I higly recomend the diablo chip. It made a heck of a difference on my truck. There is a company called streetsmart designs that has an air intake that works realy well too. As for the exhaust I went for a summit racing fully welded turbo muffler with a 2.25" tailpipe bent up by a local shop. The factory realy chokes these truck off in the exhaust department. If you look under the truck it has 2.25" pipe through the cats, but then steps down to 1.75" for the muffler and tailpipe. I have no idea what they were thinking when they did this, but you will notice a big jump in power if you remedy this problem. Another way to get power out of your truck is the DZK power pulley, Dave that owns the company is a realy nice guy, and will help you out a lot. I no longer have his email, but you should be able to find him if you do a search for 3.0 pulleys. I personaly decided against the pulley because of my 1500 watt amp that is already putting a strain on the electrical system, but if you dont have a huge amp in your truck then you want a pulley from dave. As for headers, the only company that makes them for us is JBA, but they cost $700! If you can afford that then you should save your money up and get a whipplecharger (supercharger). If anyone out there knows of any other mods to make on a 3.0 please let us know. I already have the ssd air intake, diablo chip, and a cat back exhaust. I dont know what else to buy. I dont have the money for a supercharger(hopefully next summer ) but i still need more performance. If anbody out there has any suggestion for us please post them here. Well, speedracer if you need any more info just let me know. I will be happy to help you out. welcome to the ranger world.

I was wondering abou the pulleys. How many should I replace all 7 or just a couple. PlanetPerformance.com has where you can search for your year specific and brand so you can narrow it down to what you want. Well just wondering about the pulleys.

A 2000 3.0 has EGR.

Also check out the tech info post for a link on installing them.

Dart7383 - I too have the SSD tube with K&N, but have not been able to locate Street Smarts lately - are they still in business?

If you decide to buy a chip, get it here from the site. These guys know what they're doing, have good prices and stand behind the product.
