4x4 Vibration
Truck is '04 f-350 6 spd 4x4, it feels like there is a bad u-joint in the driveshaft somewhere. Any help or experience would be greatly appreciated.
I have a decent amount of experience with 4x4s, mostly older ones, though. What speeds does it vibrate? Does it go away when you go faster or slower or when turning or driving straight? Rough terrain? If it was a driveshaft ujoint it should vibrate any time the hubs are locked in, whether 2x or 4x. Once the hubs are locked in that turns the axles which in turn, turns the driveshaft. Possibly within the t-case. But I am not for sure. Some things like that are hard to diagnose unless a person is actually there. Maybe put it up on jack stands and have someone run it slow in 4x and 2x and see if you notice anything out of the ordinary. The best thing I can tell you is take it to the dealership since it is under warrany. Wish I could help you out more.
