best laptop?

I've purchase 2 HP Pavillion laptops within the past year and have been pleased with both. They've been very stable with XP & Office 2003, etc. Wouldn't hesitate to buy HP again as they represent good value for the $. Had too many problems with the old Thinkpad...

I'm saving up for this baby right now, I have $40.
As for compaq, once I sent it back for the third time they got it right and its been problem free for about a year and a half now.
