spark plug gap
hi there all. as an ignition gets older should i narrow the spark plug gap? i have a 78 f-250 400cid stock electronic igniton. the coil is new but the dist. and module are at least 15 yrs old.

There are no moving parts in the electronic ignition except the dist shaft, and the breaker plate. Grab the rotor and wiggle it back and forth to check the bushings. Wiggle the plate around where the vacuum advance arm hooks. If everything looks ok, the system is still 100%, no matter how old it is.
