i shouldn't be doin this but oh welll..my friend has an 88 gmc reg long bed 350 auto w/ 109,000 and he gets the popping noise when going backwards and he has to give it 3/4 throttle to get going(i told him he shouldn't have bought a chevy!) but this truck has a rebuilt 4wd and rebuilt tranny in it about 20K ago or so, we think it's either halfshafts, ball joints, wheel bearing, or a hub that is locking up it has auto hubs, this only seems to happen on cold morings but is becoming more and more common in the mornings what do you all think it is? thanks

Come on, really! This is a FORD truck enthusiast site. I'll speak for all of us and say that we appreciate that you would trust our technical advice enough to ask but let's at least keep it in line with the name of the site, eh?
I'm sure if someone here would want to help with you using a private e-mail, they will. Let's not use up the bandwidth discussing other brand's problems.
