Another new guy!
What a great ride! Lots O power, smooth, comfortable and just plain pretty (maybe handsome is better for trucks). Put 7700 Kilometers, about 4800 miles, in two months after I got it last year. Parked for the winter and just can't wait for the snow to fly so I can too.
You fellows with campers what did you put under them so they would clear cab? I almost took out a clearance light putting mine on for the first time! Ended up with 3/4 in plywood, 4x4's and 1x4s under it!!! No body told me or the RV guy's that our cabs are 4" higher than any one elses.
$800 bucks US for a camper install WOW were they gonna kiss u first?
I did my bars in the driveway for the cost of the bars and 3 hours work. As for wiring I ran a pig tail from the hitch up to the camper plug. No holes in the box and was easy.
I'm curious why you would bother with air bags on a one ton?
I've owned two 3/4 tons with the heavy duty camper package and never had a problem with sway, and these were Old heavy 10 and 11 ft campers! Oh wait there is that extra 4" that the camper sits up. If my water tanks arent full I can feel the camper even with the dualls. Its an 8' 6" Snowbird weighs about 2200lbs loaded. Ok if I have too amny opinions just say so.
On the V10 versus 8 litre rock. Do you REALY want to drive a truck that is like a rock? Rocks don't go very far very fast even with help(unless its from a Ford).
Love the sounds of those open headers wish I had $3000 Can. to invest( i was going to say throw away but thats some thing a wife would say)
In a performance upgrade like that.
.
Just wondering is all.
Well good luck and have fun in here!!!

Opinions are always welcome here. But you might want to seperate out your questions so they are easier to find. ;-)
Not having I slide-in camper (I tow a 5th-wheel trailer), I can't help much. But I bet someone will be along soon that does have some recommendations... Outpost22 where are you???
Those adding airbags to F350s are mostly doing so on single rear-wheel trucks to help with the handling & "posture" of the truck when loaded. Probably not necessary on a dually.
As for exhaust, you can purchase a set of Borla headers which also comes with a new Y-pipe for around $600 US. Somewhat cheaper than the Banks kit that costs $1500.
And, finally, I'm not sure about the "Cunuck" part. But, as a hockey fan, I know that the Vancouver NHL team is named the Cunucks so it must not be too derogatory.
I,m kinda of a non stereotype Canuk, I don't drink much beer, I don't like hockey(you can tell from my previous comment) and I don't live in an igloo or have a polar bear for a pet
. I'm more into NEW super duties and old cars.Lot's of good info here. $600 US is about $1000 Canadian. I'll have to wait till the truck is at least broken in before I try anything.
