i have a 78 bronco 351m w/4 on floor. ford 9" w/38" swampers. tis got a 6" lift and 2" body lift. the problem i have is we got it stuck and had water in oil. so we drained oil and transmission and right now its full of diesel to absorb the water. hopefully this will work so we dont have to rebuild it. what im wanting to know is we want to make it badass. like better shocks springs fix interior up . what im wanting to know is what shocks and springs would be good to use? my bro wants to also put some air ride suspension on their to level it out or raise it in case we get stuck. whats yalls opinion on this. and what would u recommend doing?
Word of advise, check your diffs for water too. If you got water in the oil chances are it might of got water in the diffs through the breather tubes. I speak from expensive experience!!
As 3 bronco said, raising with air ride wont help for being stuck....when you get stuck..its usually cause your suspension or differentials or frame have hit ground or gotten caught on something....air ride only raises between the frame and axel. If it does help it will be a rare occasion.

B-Up is giving you a good suggestion. My pal and I drowned my dad's truck and we did get away without a rebuild on the engine but one diff took some $$.
I don't honestly get the "air ride suspension" approach but a winch, good judgement, and a good spotter won't often fail...

a spotter wouldnt of helped. we went into the hole slow, it didnt look that deep. but when we got both wheels in it sank. and we couldnt get it out. 2 tow trucks had to pull it out. the rear dif has some water in it. if i can get it running then ill pull it up to the shop and change all fluids. front dif doesnt have any. tcase no. manual trans full of water but its got diesel in it right now
