You can always grind a spot smooth and stamp it in with some number stamps. I always stamp blocks, intakes and heads etc with the machine operations done also for ref.

what is the firing order of a 390 is it a clock wise or reverse rotation

Here's a little trick for you: the advance canister always points in the opposite direction of the firing rotation. Visualize your advance canister as an arrow and run your finger in the reverse direction and that should indicate firing rotation direction. This has worked for me with all engines, regardless of make. Good luck!
