Trouble Code P0430 What do i Do?
My 98 X EB with the 5.0 had its first Check Engine light come on ever!!!!!(celebrate later )
It came up with two Trouble Codes in the PCM: P 0430-- bank 2 Cat Effic < Limit ( 2nd one in another string before this one)
I was told it is harmless and to do nothing about this one
Questions:
1. What the HECK does that mean? Is it the Cat not fuctioning correctly?
2. What needs fixing/ adjustment?
3. Any advice will be appreciated GREATLY

OK durrrrr i read the sticky link on DTC's
but the only possible causes that would i would think possible in my siutatuon are
Damaged HO2S (is this the O2 sensor?)
Malfunctioning ECT(Engine coolant temp sensor, Ok but this would be determined to b ethe problem how, besides repl the sensor)
Retarded spark timing (what would cause this?)
JUST TO MENTION: After reader the codes with one of those wicked cool star reader tools, i cleared the codes and drove 30 more min and No check engine light!
