Does anyone know what these are worth? The condition is a little rough, some rust in the floorboards and around the LRP conversion window's on the side's. the engine is a 460 with a C-6 and it has the Dana 44 up front.
How rare were these? This is also a conversion van from LRP
These things are very subjective. They can run feom 800 dollars and up. I paid more for mine, but it was very well taken care of, restored, and had only 70k miles on it. It was appraised at 10k by an auto appraiser in Spokane.
Perhaps the best thing, if you are serious about it is to find a local appraiser, put out the 50 bucks, and see what he comes up with.
One thing to remember is that it is a 1978 van. Most of the suspension bushings are probably shot. It may need new hubs, depending on the type it has installed. Take a good look at the hoses, wiring, and other parts that go bad over time. All of this will take a little bit of money to fix. Not to mention getting the rust taken care of.
Now for the good news.. As long as you don't try to turn it into a jeep, it will go just about anywhere. The 460/C6/NP205 is a great combo for offroading. At least I think so. The only downside is the gas milage, plan on getting 10mpg or less with the thing.
thanks for the info and the links!! It is a buddy of mine's van he is gonna sell and I am just tryin to get a ballpark on it. The van has low mileage, maybe 80,000 or so Thanks again Bob
Oh yeah that is what it was is a Pathfinder with the LRP conversion, 4 captain chair's and the couch/bed in the back
Speaking of 4x4 vans. I have a 91 E-150 and a 86 F-150 4x4. I've been very slowly restoring the rusty body on the F-150 (almost all the body panels have varying degrees of rust). Would it be practical to swap the dana 44 TTB and BW1345 T-case to the van and trash the F-150? One of my main areas of concern was the tranny. I would either have to convert the E4OD 2wD trans to a 4WD somehow, buy a newer E4OD for a 4wD truck, or run a divorced t-case, anyone have any thoughts on this one???
Well I think I am going to buy this van from him myself. It has quite a bit of rust but it has the heavy duty 8 lug dana 44 up front and I think it has a dana 60 out back with the 8 lug. These axle's would work great for a Bronco 8 lug swap. If the body was not so rusted it would look real nice. I will keep you all updated.
