catalic converter

can anyone tell me how much horsepower increase and exhaust temp drop i could gain from removal of the cat, converter, have the down pipe, K & N , tornado, and sort of a ram air i put together myself

Unsure of exact hp #'s, but when I eliminated mine the turbo spooled up quicker, lower egt's(80 degrees), slightly lower engine temps, firmer tranny shifts from 2nd to 3rd and of course some sweet sounds out of the tailpipe! Keep in mind if your area has or will have emmisions testing, its a good idea to save the cat in case you need to put it back on at a later date. Cats are very expensive to replace! IMOP, go for it- GO CATLESS!!!

I have a '00 PSD. Where is the cat converter? I only saw my muffler.

my 00 does not have a cat. Only some SD's and HD's had cats, i do not know what option in the truck made the difference.

Bigfootnhawse the cat is normally right in front of the muffler some have it some don't
