back up lights

Ok, I will admit that this is a stupid post but I am perplexed. My back up lights are not working (yes the bulbs are good). I have traced the wires as far as I can and have found nothing to be wrong or out of place. I also looked at the wiring diagram and got lost. Any suggestions??? This is on a 92 F-250 7.3l.

well i could help you better in advance if you had an auto! LOL.there should be a switch on the trans for the reverse lights,is it working correctly?have you checked fuses and the such?you said you have traced the wires but have you checked them to see if they corroded our broken beneath the sheathing.thier is also a few connectors at the rear of the truck, maybe they are corroded or some pins pushed back not making contact.
