I know its not soft top season. I was just looking around the net for some used Kayline tops for our broncos. I figured I would visit the Kayline website for giggles. Turns out STC (Specialty Top Co.) has purchased the patterns and tooling for the Kayline tops. What does that mean? They are back into production! http://www.kaylinetops.com/ Im not sure if anyone else even cares, but I hope to save up enough to get me one of these tops for this summer!
I think the 91 version will fit the later years just fine. The reason for not listing it is the third brake light on the later years. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Yup, it will fit 92- as screwy mentioned, but for legal reasons, they cannot tell you that. Its due to the third tail light, as well as the rear shoulder belts.
"Snap Top for later (78-91) Ford Bronco covers the area behind the front seats. The snaps mount to aluminum strips that can be easily removed when the hard top is in place." Sounds like that is a non-issue (unless I read it wrong).
THe STC/KAyline site used to have a detailed installation guide onl the strips for their softtops, Drilling of the tailgate IS required for the row of snaps back there. Jeff's Bronco Graveyard has been selling the Kayline tops for $400, which is a fair price. I just lucked out and found a use Skyler top for less. It requires NO drilling, but they are OOB!!!
