Question Rough idle, no power engine code 172

Ok so I have been chasing this issue for over a month now.... 93 F150 302. After running the truck for 10 minutes my CEL comes on and will stay on for a short time and then go out.. This continues to happen the entire time it takes me to get to work.(25miles). On some of the larger hills my truck will buck and ping with absolutely no power. The only code the engine is pulling is 172. The folks at autozone told me to change the spark plugs do to one of them being dropped during installation. After I did that I still have the very same problem. One of my mechanic type friends told me that I must have a vaccum leak some where.... I have spend over 3 hours looking for one with no luck. I do notice now that when I step hard on the excellerator I believe I hear a air hissing/sucking sound...
So other than changing the O2 sensor(need a torch), and spraying carb cleaner on the vaccum lines... What else can I look at to see if I can resolve this...
Thanks
