keyless entry range

I'm thinking about getting a valient keyless entry system from j c whtny. just wondering if anybody has one and if so what is its working range. i know it says 200 ft in the ad but i think its less than that. it would be cool to have keyless on my 83 f100, but not if the range was 5 ft from the truck like other add on keyless systems ive seen.

I don't know about Valient, but other systems like Omega, DEI, Auto command, Bulldog work at well over 200 ft, some of these systems work up to and over 700 ft away from the vehicle.
