bronco exhaust

I was wondering if any company made a dual exhaust kit for my 92 Bronc. or will I have to get it "custom" made? All the ones i have found are single side exit. I would like to run true dual with two 23" glasspacks. Also, if I choose to keep my cats, will i just take one of the two and put it on the other pipe? Will a muffler shop put this setup on without putting my cats back on? Thanks

No. As far as I know, no one makes a Dual kit for our broncos. The only exception might be JC Whitney, but there quality is less than great. The two cats on the stock Y pipe are actually one unit, consisting of a precat, and the cat. They act as one. Yes, the easiest is to have an exhaust shop run duals for you. Beware, with duals you WILL NOT be able to drive around with youre rear window open. The fumes will be sucked back into the cab, and you can get CO poisoning. Also, over time the seals around the rear window will become weaker, also allowing fumes to get in. As for will a shop do it, depends on the shop. It is technically illegal to remove or alter working emissions equipment. Some shops will do it with a "blind eye", others wont touch it.

I believe summit also has something for our broncos. If i remember correctly, u can get two mufflers, all the pipe and two headers for about 250.

What kind of quality do you think you are going to get out of a kit like that? My catback alone was 425. Even if it had been aluminized (which obviously it isnt), it would have still cost me 300. Buyer beware
