Exclamation Audio tune up

I took out my Factory Am/Fm Cassete, replaced it with a pioneer CD player, with built in 400w amp. Also connected a pioneer XM Satelite Radio with FM Modulator. Used the Factory speakers and I have a great system. I can have MY music whenever and wherevr I want. No missing, skipping or commercials.

Tyhe possabilities are endless, it all depends on what one wants to spend and how creative one is. Entertainment is in the mind of each one of us. PLus we need our toy's

WOW! Pioneer's now have a 400W built in amp?!?
I hope you meant 40W

How much is the subscription to XM? Is it really clear, or do you get some of that FM static?

Playboy radio huh?......... Talk about paying attention while driving! lol The only good things on Playboy are there shows like 7 lives exposed and stuff. I hate the fake movies they play.

Any ways with XM is it just music or do you have radio stations like FM? I would hate to miss the morning shows.

XM Radio is fantastic. You get uniterupted "commercial free" music. It's like having CD's that never end.

The stations are set up By year catagories, like the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, then there are Comedy, Country, Rap, Jazz, Blues,

Cjeck out their web site.

www.xmradio.com

You can get a whole print out of what it has to offer. The cost is $9.99 a month + $2.00 if you get the Playboy Channel. Personally, I don't think I could drive to the Playboy chanel + my wife would kick my A $ $ lol.

You can pay by the month, quarter, half and year, They tried to talk me into getting a year free if I paid for 2 years up front, declined that. I just pay by the half year. You do save the connection fee if you subscribe VIA your PC instead of calling them.

As for Clearity, You won't find any better. NO STATIC no interferance . JUst don't go into a tunnel, or a BIG city (Tall buildings do make you lose signal temperarily

Channel 150 is my favorite channel. XM Comedy "Up Yours" . It's a RAW station so if kids are in the car, don't play it, It is completely uncensored.

you get morning shows but Not Bob and Tom "YET" If you have XM just switch it off for your favorite show if it's not on XM yet.

This is just hear say, but I have heard from a few people at XM that the satellite that carries the XM signal will fall out of the sky two-three years before it was scheduled to. I'm sticking with Sirius.
elt 449 did i hear that you had to use an fm modulator? there was no way to hook up up your xm module directly to your source unit? it's just a better connection, instead of sending your signal through your antenna.

When? In 2090? I'll believe it when a piece lands in my backyard. Where did you get that information from? A friend of a friend of a friend....

Yeah it was stupid really. i used to work in a shop in NH and one of the gossip queens there came to me one day with this little tid bit of info. he might have dreamed about it while he was holding up the counter on the sales floor.
i still would stick with sirius. all though a little bit more expensive, more and more electronics manufacturers are picking up sirius to be capatable with thier equipment i.e. kenwood, clarion, eclipse.

I'm running an Alpine CDA 9813 head unit with no probs. I suppose that all manuf. will have the capabilities to run and input satellite radio in the future
