can anyone help me - I have a 94 Bronco - 302 with the E40D auto tranny- problem- at any speeds, slow or fast the tranny would hesitate for a second or so and then hit hard into the gear again. Ford Dealers state the computers show nothing and that there is nothing wrong with the tranny - They felt it on the test drive but cant figure it out. Flushed and serviced the tranny, worked for about 3 hours then back to the problem again. Any ideas? Thanks
MINE DOES Tthat once in a great while. if i move the shift lever around it stops doing this. try to move your shift lever and see if it helps, if it does help than your MLPS is bad and needs to be replaced or your shift linkage is slightly out of adjustment. it could be as simple as dirty connections on the plug that is on the MLPS.
most ford techs will tell you if the trans is not shifting right on the e4od change the MLPS. i believe you already have the updated sensor but am not 100% sure.
I have been having the same problem with my 94. It started out pronunced like you described, but not very frequent. Now as soon as it hits OD it starts bucking fairly consistantly. I'm interested to see if the MLPS is the problem. I'll get back to you on that also.
i'm kinda having that problem to at 35 to 65 at steady speed it starts vibrating but if i give it gas or let off and give it gas again it stops, ame i just tap the brake with my other foot without letting off the brake eveybody has been telling me its the sensor in the torque converter but don't no yet
