Polar Bear Swim

I meant to ask this question on Jan 2nd.
Has anyone here besides me ever taken the Polar bear swim on January 1st ?

Quite In-vigorating

I did mine in Nanaimo BC a couple of times ,but I haven't been able to since 1985.

Here is what I'm talking about.

Mil1ion, I also knew you had too much time on your hands.

I have walked through the snow before to get to my hot tub.

That counts in my book.

Actually, Dennis probably did it the smart way. Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island, is the banana belt of Canada, (which means it takes a while for exposed skin to freeze - it's not instant frostbite.) Also the ocean waters of the NW can be warmer in the winter than in the summer. It takes a few months for the summer waters off Alaska to get here.

So, looking at it that way...IT'S STILL COLD!

I did it once. From that day on no matter how much you try to convince me or how drunk I am the only way I will get in the water when their is snow on the ground is if somebody is drowning.

Wimps!!! I Dive in these waters 365 I just find that it's less than warm. Actually about the same temp as the Calif. coast. I don't get cold & I don't get hot... I just run my program...
