Grasp it in both hands, and see what you can do with it while it is here...
For one thing is certain - this day will never come back again.
You may, as I have done, decide you need at least one day to sit on your backside and relax for once - and that is all good.
Sometimes the weight of all of the stuff you have on your plate is huge, and you can see no way to sort through it all unless you can step back from it once in a while and take a deep breath or two.
I find myself doing that frequently these days...
But never quit, and keep a list. Think in terms of five year plans so that depression can be staved off. Nothing good happens all at once.
Sufficient that little pieces of your goals and plans can be forwarded if you just keep your mind to it...
And a day to regroup and think a bit never hurts.
But to make anything happen, bits and pieces need to fall into place. If the time is there to do little things, grab it! You'll know it was taken care of later.
Even when it seems that the time was lost in the large scheme of things - if you take on minor projects as they present themselves, nothing is wasted. A lazy day is a good one for looking at the details that there isn't time for when busy with big things.
Use it well, even if it just means cleaning the kitchen or unloading the back seat....
The funny thing is, when I picked the name, I didn't really know what it means, just sounded cool, but eventually I came to realize that I like it.
I had an epiphany. Today is the best day of my life. It won't ever get better than this. If you are waiting for something, it won't come. Enjoy today. Even despite temporary problems.
"I do not concern myself whether my cup be 'half-empty or half-full'....
All I ask is that You continue pouring into it so that others may drink of You. But according to Your Promises, I am thankful that it always overflows...
With that understanding, please increase the size of my cup!"
My girl says that all the time, I always knew what it meant, but I never remebered to just waste time. I spend every chance I can get with her. I don't think thats near enough.
Grey,, this brought a smile to my face,, You, My friend, have crested the hill. On to the greener pastures. Very poignantly stated (as usual). Stay on that train of thought all the way past the station. This held me through many a long lonely dark night. To awake to a new day,,, full of all the wonders of the last day, but with the shine of the dewy new day's dawn. A little prospective never hurt anyone.
