Alright, I did the search thing with no results that I am looking for.
The ??? is: What are these springs for???
I was given a set of Ford Coils that measure 17.5" tall and the same diameter as the '95 Bronco. The Bronco has the same design at both ends. The last couple of inches of the end coil turn in a bit tighter than the main coil. This is where they mount to the vehicle at. The springs I was given have one end like the Bronco and the other end does not have the tighter turn. It is the same as the main coil. Any info is helpful.
The tighter coils are for the heavier loads when compressed. The F250s should be longer as well since it has to haul a heavier front end. See if you can find the load ratings for those springs and compare em to what you have now. Could be in for a real different ride and stance.
The tighter coil of the one set is only in the circular pattern of the spring on one end for the mounting position, not in the spacing between coils.
My problem is, first to identify what I have been given, then locate more info on them. I figure that if I knew which vehicles had different mountings on each end, I might get somewhere. So far all I have found is the same mounting on both ends of the coils, either both tight or both at the same coil as the main portion of the spring.
Don't have a vehicle for the odd set of springs. I believe they are an after market set. Mainly looking for the mounting style to direct me to a starting point. No local shops to help with the ID as most of them have no idea where to start if it is not spelled out to them.
Ha HA Ha....4X4 shops in this area are non-existing. At least 120 miles to the nearest one. They say bring them, and I will, next time in the area but for now...... Like I say, most local shops know what you are doing only after you have done it. A lot of the lifts and such around here are home installed which is great, but that does not cover the knowledge needed for all vehicles such as a good 4X shop shop should have. At least this is not critical, the 33's only touch when I do a bit to much twisting.
one end is a tight turn inward bottom, the other is the same till the very end turns inward and straight this would be the top.spring shop might be able to compress them to tell the rating.
